Canada hosts the USA Eagles as they kick off the 2025 Pacific Nations Cup (PNC) on Friday at the McMahon Stadium in Calgary.

The Pacific Nations Cup is a key tournament for both teams, serving as a direct qualification to the 2027 Rugby World Cup. Excluding Japan and Fiji, who have already qualified, the top three teams will secure a spot in the 24-team tournament two years later.

Canada is ranked 25th in the world, also the lowest-ranked team in this tournament.. They have lost all of their last five matches and come into this clash with poor form while looking to improve on their sixth-place finish from 2024.

The USA are ranked 16th in the world and have won three of their last five Tests, including consecutive victories over Portugal, Tonga, and Spain last November. AJ MacGinty remains the Eagles' star fly-half, but at 35, the team is already eyeing younger replacements ahead of the next World Cup.

The Sporting News looks at the key details ahead of this game, including how to watch the match and kickoff time.
