Leicester City will be looking to pick up from where they left off at the end of the last campaign when they start their pre-season preparations this summer.

The Foxes endured a difficult start to the 2016-17 Premier League season but their form dramatically improved towards the end when Craig Shakespeare replaced Claudio Ranieri as caretaker boss.

No bids for Mahrez, say Leicester

Shakespeare has since landed the job on a permanent basis and the 53-year-old has gone about putting his own stamp on things by bringing in Harry Maguire and Vicente Iborra for just under £30 million.

Here is your complete guide to Leicester's pre-season schedule.

Leicester head to China to take part in the Premier League Asia Trophy in Hong Kong before returning to England to round off their summer preparations.

The Foxes were held to a draw by West Brom in their first game, but triumphed on penalties, meaning that they will contest the final against Liverpool, who beat Crystal Palace in the other semi-final.

Shakespeare's men will then be put through their paces when they play three games in four days across England, taking on Luton Town, MK Dons and Wolves in a short space of time.

The Midlands-based side will then face Burton Albion before finishing up their pre-season against Germany's Borussia Monchengladbach on home soil on August 4.

But before all of the matches get under way, Leicester are currently away in Austria in a pre-season training camp.

Maguire and Iborra have been getting to know their new team-mates in Velden alongside Michael Appleton, who left Oxford United to become Leicester's new assistant manager in June.

They will then take on newly-promoted Brighton and Hove Albion in their opening home game of the new season on August 19 before clashes against Manchester United and Chelsea follow.

Leicester, who finished 12th in the league last term, will be hoping to get off to a better start this time around and push for a top-half finish at the very least.
