The Washington Commanders have made a decision on wide receivers Deebo Samuel and Terry McLaurin for the Week 5 game against the Los Angeles Chargers.
The Commanders announced that McLaurin will not travel with the team to Los Angeles, thus he has been ruled out for Sunday's contest.
As for Samuel, he didn't practice once again on Thursday but he was not ruled out like McLaurin was. Instead, Samuel will travel with the team to the west coast and that's a good indication he's at least got a chance to play.
McLaurin wasn't the only bad news for the Commanders' receivers room, though, as fellow veteran wideout Noah Brown has been ruled out, also.
This will be the second-straight game McLaurin misses, while Brown is missing his third in a row.
The good news for both players is that they were spotted doing some work on a side field on Thursday, as was the case with Samuel. McLaurin also took part in team stretches.
This was the first time he had been spotted outside since his injury, so that's a sign of progress for McLaurin.
Assuming Samuel suits up, he'll be quarterback Jayden Daniels' No. 1 target. The absences of Brown and McLaurin will allow guys like Chris Moore, Luke McCaffrey and Jaylin Lane to get more run.
