The Washington Commanders and their fanbase keep hoping for good news.
With Terry McLaurin, it just isn't coming.
Head coach Dan Quinn told reporters Friday that McLaurin will be out again on Sunday.
McLaurin hasn't played since Week 3.
It hasn't been the best follow-up to his big contract extension for McLaurin.
McLaurin spent the summer arguing that age is just a number. 30 wouldn't hit him like everyone else. He proceeded to sustain a vague, unnameable hip ailment on a light tackle in the third game and a month later he's still doing calisthenics.

The Commanders have a big game on Sunday, taking on the Dallas Cowboys in NFC East action. And that brings another reality to the forefront.
Will Deebo Samuel be available?
His heel injury was something he played through on Monday night, but he also seems to be a true question mark for Sunday's game, too.
On one hand, it's good that Quinn didn't also rule Samuel out in advance. But until Samuel avoids that inactive report on Sunday, there'll be some uncertainty.
If the Commanders are without both of their top wideouts, it'll be tough for Jayden Daniels to get things rolling in the passing game. And coming off a bad loss to the Chicago Bears, Washington needs to find a way to hit its stride again.
McLaurin remains on the sideline. Samuel's status could be crucial to determining the outcome of Week 7 for the Commanders.
