The news is less than ideal.
Washington Commanders QB Jayden Daniels is injured. And although it may not be serious, it's also serious enough that it's news in the first place.
ESPN's Adam Schefter posted this on X on Monday afternoon:
"Commanders QB Jayden Daniels has a knee injury that has his status for Sunday’s game vs. the Raiders in question, per league sources. The injury is not believed to be serious, but it remains uncertain whether Daniels will be able to play Sunday."

Daniels and the Commanders are coming off a Thursday night loss to the Green Bay Packers. Conceptually, the Thursday game should help Daniels recover from whatever ails him, assuming it was something he hurt or aggravated in that contest and not something that has happened since then.
But the report on Monday does suggest there's at least a little bit of concern for the Commanders.
Daniels did spend time earlier this season on Washington's injury report, but he was never actually given an injury designation.

Most likely, Wednesday's injury report will give us a slightly better clue of what's going on. If Daniels has a full practice Wednesday, this is likely nothing to worry about. If he's limited or doesn't participate, it'll keep Commanders fans a bit more on edge until later in the week.
Washington's backup QB, if it comes to that, is Marcus Mariota. The former No. 2 overall pick is a well-respected voice and can likely lead the offense in a decent way if Daniels misses time.
The Commanders would much prefer the reality where Daniels is on the field for every play, though, and so as the week goes on, there should be some more clarity.
