The Washington Commanders are looking into adding a former first-round pick to their roster.
On Wednesday, they'll work out wide receiver Treylon Burks, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Burks just worked out for the Denver Broncos on Tuesday.
Burks was injured in July.
"Treylon Burks showed up at camp in great shape and fractured his collarbone on a sick, diving catch on the sidelines. Just bad luck all around," wrote Rapoport on X.
Burks was the No. 18 overall pick in 2022 out of Arkansas.
He had 33 catches as a rookie in 11 games, for 444 yards.
He again played 11 games in 2023, this time grabbing just 16 passes for 221 yards.
Injuries limited him to just five games in 2024, and four total catches.

The Titans eventually released him after his training camp injury.
It's not clear whether the injury wasn't as bad as thought, or if teams are signing Burks with an eye beyond just this season.
Either way, this is a guy with a massive pedigree. If Washington, or any other team, can unlock some of that potential, it'd be a great pickup to have found available in the middle of the season.
The Commanders could use the help given the injuries to their current receiving corps, assuming Burks is healthy enough to step in. First, he'll work out and try to impress Washington's brass enough to earn a contract offer.
