Commanders' Dan Quinn reveals hilarious plan to slow down Packers' Micah Parsons on Thursday night image

Micah Parsons made an immediate impact in his Green Bay Packers debut.

He recorded a sack, and he set up multiple other teammates to get sacks of their own.

Now, he'll get another huge spotlight when the Packers play on Thursday Night Football to open up Week 2 against the Washington Commanders.

Any offense lining up against Parsons knows that slowing him down has to be the first priority, and so on Tuesday, Washington head coach Dan Quinn was asked about Parsons.

Specifically, Quinn was asked how he'd combat Parsons.

"I'd sit him this week," Quinn replied, according to The Athletic's Nicki Jhabvala.

Fair enough, coach Quinn, fair enough.

He could even probably put together a whole joking argument about it. Parsons didn't have a usual summer preparation as he sat out waiting for a new contract from the Cowboys that never came. He also has been dealing with a back injury.

But of course, Parsons will be playing. The Packers star was all smiles at his media availability on Tuesday as he was asked about his fantasy football team, on which he has his defensive teammate Edgerrin Cooper in an individual defensive player format.

That definitely looks like a guy ready to take the field in primetime and make plays, both for himself and for his teammates.

Quinn won't be getting his wish, and the Commanders are simply going to have to come up with some way to deal with Parsons, at least a bit.
