The Tennessee Titans lost their season opener to the Denver Broncos.
And in the process, one of their stars doesn't sound all that happy.
L'Jarius Sneed, the star cornerback in Tennessee on a $76.4 million contract that pays him $18.3 million just this year, didn't play a snap in the second half.
He had been in for 19 snaps in the first half.
"You got to talk to the coaches about that," Sneed told reporters postgame. "I have no control over that. I didn't tweak anything. I'm good. It's a coaching decision. I knew I'd be on a pitch count but didn't know it would go the way it went. I'm very disappointed. I felt great. I wanted to offer more."

Sneed wouldn't have helped the Titans' offense score more points than the four field goals they ended up with by Joey Slye.
But it's still a bit of an oddity to start the season.
Sneed was on the physically unable to perform list over the summer until Aug. 20. That gave him a few weeks to ramp up for the season.
The Titans clearly weren't that concerned. They played him plenty in the first half.
But for whatever reason, Tennessee went away from Sneed after halftime.

Sneed only played five games last season for the Titans after coming over from the Chiefs, and his 2025 debut didn't feel much better.
He'll be hoping he can make a bigger impact soon enough.
