Buccaneers' Emeka Egbuka has already tied Jerry Rice in one NFL rookie stat image

Jerry Rice is the greatest receiver of all time.

But he wasn't a superstar as a rookie, by any means.

That allows for some quirky stats like this: Tampa Bay Buccaneers rookie Emeka Egbuka needed only six quarters to tie Rice for his rookie touchdown total.

Egbuka caught two touchdowns in the Bucs' season opener, including the game-winner late in the fourth quarter.

And then on Monday night against the Texans, Egbuka caught another touchdown, a first-half score and his third of the season.

Rice had just three TDs as a rookie, so Egbuka is tied with him.

It's just a fun way to spin things, but Egbuka is already showing he can be special.

He was only Ohio State's No. 2 WR last year, but that's because the younger Jeremiah Smith is an absolutely generational talent.

Egbuka was the No. 21 overall pick in April's NFL Draft for a reason, and he's proving he belongs in the NFL right away.

There are a heck of a lot more touchdowns to come.
