The Seattle Seahawks emerged from their bye week with an injury concern for wide receiver Cooper Kupp.

Kupp was added to the injury report this week with heel and hamstring issues, but there was optimism for his chances of playing after he logged a full practice on Wednesday.

However, Kupp saw a decline in his practice participation over the next two days, with the veteran being limited on Thursday and then a non-participant on Friday before he was given a questionable tag for Sunday.

With uncertainty surrounding Kupp's status for the Week 9 game against the Washington Commanders, here's what we know.

Is Cooper Kupp playing tonight?

UPDATE: Kupp is officially inactive for Week 9.

END OF UPDATE

According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, Kupp is not expected to play on Sunday night.

"Seahawks WR Cooper Kupp, listed as questionable for Sunday night due to a heel and hamstring injury, is unlikely to play vs. The Commanders, per source," Schefter reported.

Seahawks WR fantasy advice

There is only one locked-in starter in the Seahawks' wide receivers room and that's Jaxon Smith-Njigba, who ranks as WR2 overall in fantasy points per game going into Week 9.

With both Kupp and Jake Bobo sidelined, rookie receiver Tory Horton should get a boost, but we simply haven't seen enough out of him this season to trust him in lineups.

Horton does have three receiving touchdowns, but he hasn't tallied more than 39 yards in any game and he has been blanked in each of the past two contests.

In addition, being the No. 2 receiver in the Seahawks' offense hasn't proven fruitful for Kupp, who ranks as WR57 overall.

Kupp's absence could also lead to more work for tight end AJ Barner, who ranks as TE18 overall. Barner is only averaging 30.3 yards per game, but he also has four touchdowns.

Certainly not elite production by any stretch, but at a position with so much uncertainty in fantasy football, you could do worse than Barner this week.
