The San Francisco 49ers released their injury report on Friday afternoon for their Week 6 matchup with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and 49ers fans may want to look away.
The 49ers continue to be banged up for yet another week. Two of San Francisco's three quarterbacks on the roster, and their top two receivers are on the injury report again, and that doesn't account for tight end George Kittle, who's missed the last four games.
Quarterback Brock Purdy and receiver Ricky Pearsall have both been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Buccaneers, and quarterback Mac Jones and receiver Jauan Jennings are both questionable, according to Ari Meirov.
49ers Won't have Purdy, Pearsall on Sunday
With Purdy out again, the hope is Jones will start against the Buccaneers after leading San Francisco to a win last week against the Los Angeles Rams.
Jones was throwing at practice on Friday, which he did not do earlier in the week.
However, if Jones can't go either, the only quarterback left for the 49ers is Adrian Martinez. Martinez played college ball at Nebraska and Kansas State before going undrafted in 2023. The young quarterback won the UFL Championship in 2024 with the Birmingham Stallions and was named the MVP of the game.

Aside from the quarterback situation, the 49ers will be without their top receiver in Pearsall for the second consecutive week as well. Jennings is listed as questionable and was back at practice on Thursday and Friday.
Regardless of who's able to suit up for the 49ers on Sunday, they'll face a tough opponent in quarterback Baker Mayfield and Buccaneers. However, that didn't stop San Francisco last week against he Rams from showing they can find a way to win any game.
