With the Aaron Rodgers waiting game going on two months now, Pittsburgh Steelers fans are looking for any sign of a resolution.
Rodgers has made it clear he's choosing between playing or retiring in 2025, and while he didn't say so, the most likely landing spot for him is the Steelers, who appear to be the only team left standing in the sweepstakes, barring the New Orleans Saints having interest after Derek Carr decided to retire.
For fans hoping Rodgers signs in Pittsburgh, you're going to like this latest rumor.
According to Andrew Fillipponi of 93.7 The Fan, rumor has it that Rodgers, who loves golf, has joined the Nevillewood Country Club in Pittsburgh.
"Red hot rumor: Aaron Rodgers has allegedly joined Nevillewood Country Club. The beautiful suburban Pittsburgh golf course. Designed by Jack Nicklaus. Another sign he’s signing with the Steelers," Fillipponi wrote on X.
This isn't the first time Rodgers has been rumored to do something Pittsburgh-related that led many to believe he was signing with the Steelers.
You may or may not remember the rumor that Rodgers ordered a "Misplaced Series" Pittsburgh Pirates hat all the way back in March.
With all the nonsense out there about Rodgers, take anything you read with a grain of salt. It can be fun trying to connect the dots like this, but after a while it also becomes infuriating. That's probably the stage most Steelers fans are at.
The fact of the matter is, the Steelers need Rodgers. They don't have a starter on the roster currently and he's by far their best bet to have a chance to compete in 2025.
If Pittsburgh fails to land him, it would be a pure disaster for the franchise.
