On Monday, the cover athlete for the new EA Madden video game was announced. And, this time it will be Philadelphia Eagles superstar running back Saquon Barkley on the cover

Barkley's first year with the Eagles was a monster success in all regards. He eclipsed the 2,000-yard mark and was instrumental in the Super Bowl run.

Now, he gets rewarded by being on the cover of the newest Madden video game which will be released this summer.

Shortly after, Barkley took to X to share his feelings of being on the video game cover.

"Hurdling onto the @EAMaddenNFL cover 🙏🏾Dream come true! Fly Eagles Fly"

During the season, Barkley went viral for a must-see backwards huddle that left everybody in awe.

Now, it is that moment that is being highlighted on the cover.

In a statement, the Eagles star also said he is grateful for the opportunity.

"I'm grateful to my teammates, coaches, and Eagles fans for their support," Barkley said in a statement, per Eagles.com. "I can't wait to hit the field again to give Madden players more highlight-reel moments in Madden NFL 26."

So, the famous backwards hurdle play is now Barkley's feature for the video game.
