The Philadelphia Eagles play football tonight.
Regular season NFL football, to specify. The Super Bowl title defense starts now, and fans all around Philly surely are walking around town in their Jalen Hurts jerseys on Thursday.
The Eagles take on the Cowboys to raise the curtain on the NFL season.
And there's a lot of interest as to whether Hurts will be on the field after he sat out the entire preseason.

Is Jalen Hurts playing today?
Yes, Jalen Hurts is expected to play Thursday night in Week 1 against the Dallas Cowboys. The Philadelphia Eagles QB is healthy.
Hurts didn't play in the preseason, by design. Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni opts to not risk injury in games that don't count toward the standings. He did that last season, too.
The plan worked just fine last year, as the Eagles stormed to an awesome regular season and then didn't slow down all the way to the Lombardi Trophy.
What channel is Eagles vs. Cowboys on today?
- TV channel: NBC
- Live stream: Peacock
The opening game of the NFL season isn't a standard Thursday Night Football game.
Starting in Week 2, TNF will be televised on Amazon Prime.
But the season opener rights are owned by NBC, so the game will be put on by the usual Sunday Night Football team and be streamed on NBC's streaming property, Peacock.
