Philadelphia Eagles star quarterback Jalen Hurts has accomplished a whole lot over the course of his NFL career already. Hurts is a two-time Pro Bowler, an All-Pro and a Bert Bell Award winner. He’s a Super Bowl champion and the reigning Super Bowl MVP.
But, Hurts will have an opportunity to accomplish something that he’s never done before on Monday Night Football: Beating the Los Angeles Chargers in a game.
Jalen Hurts has never beaten the Los Angeles Chargers
As a starting quarterback, Hurts has defeated 27 out of the 32 teams in the NFL, but the Chargers are one of the teams he’s yet to topple. Hurts has a 0-1 career record against the Chargers, as he’s only played against them once prior to the Monday night matchup.
Hurts’ lone game against the Chargers came back in November of 2021 – his first season as a full-time starter in Philadelphia. Hurts threw for 162 yards and a touchdown against Los Angeles and he also added 62 rushing yards.
But, Hurts’ production in that contest wasn’t enough as the Chargers pulled out a 27-24 victory. Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert threw for 356 yards and two touchdowns in the win.
The other teams that Hurts has yet to defeat in the league are the Las Vegas Raiders, Seattle Seahawks, New York Jets and of course the Eagles.
Hurts will have an opportunity to cross another team off of his list next week, as the Eagles are set to host the Raiders at Lincoln Financial Field.
