The Philadelphia Eagles were surprisingly defeated at home 24-15 by the Chicago Bears, who overtook the Eagles for the No. 2 seed in the NFC in the process.

The Eagles are now 8-4, and their offense continues to struggle, as it has all season. The loss marked the third time in four games in which Philadelphia scored fewer than 17 points, and they haven't scored more than 21 points since October 26th against the New York Giants. Eagles fans in attendance let their distain be known, as boos rained down on Philadelphia throughout the second half, but most notably after a third consecutive three-and-out at the beginning of the third quarter.

The Eagles currently rank 22nd in the NFL in passing yards per game, and they are 23rd in EPA per rush, per NextGenStats. Because of this, Eagles fans and media alike are almost unanimously calling for the job of offensive coordinator Kevin Patullo.

Following the loss, Richard Sherman said that the Eagles should look for a new OC.

"Sirianni, maybe get your wand out and find you a new offensive coordinator," Sherman said on the Prime Postgame Show.

Unfortunately for Eagles fans, head coach Nick Sirianni says he is not taking play-calling duties away from Patullo.

"Nick Sirianni said he’s not changing the play-caller," Zach Berman reports. "He said if he thought Kevin Patullo was the issue, he’d make the change. He doesn’t think that’s the problem."

Because of this, some say both Patullo and Sirianni should be fired.

"Nick Sirianni and Kevin Patullo both should be fired the Eagles had a really good chance to repeat," Eagles fan Brucie B says on X. "But these two ruin it."

This feels very similar to 2023 when the Eagles started 10-1 and then lost five of their last six in the regular season before losing to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the playoffs. Should the suffer a similar fate, there could, and should, be big changes made on the Eagles' coaching staff.
