The NFL world was left shocked last season when the Philadelphia Eagles and Washington Commanders made a trade that sent a promising young wide receiver to a rival.

Even though the Commanders ended up having a fantastic season, reaching the NFC Championship Game, Dotson became a Super Bowl champion with the Eagles.

However, despite that success with his new team Dotson was still blindsided by the trade and it definitely served as motivation when he arrived in Philadelphia.

Dotson recently opened up about the inter-division trade, and suggested that he felt "betrayed" by the Commanders after only being drafted by the organization in the first round in 2021.

Washington's loss was Nick Sirianni's gain though, especially with some of the big catches that Dotson made during the run up to the Eagles winning the Lombardi Trophy in 2025.

Since arriving in Philly, Dotson has cemented himself as a clear third option behind A.J. Brown and Devonta Smith, while John Metchie III and Johnny Wilson will certainly play a role in the deep receiver group as well.
