The current Dallas Cowboys may not fully grasp the challenges of winning a Super Bowl or the effort it takes to secure back-to-back titles. But the Cowboys of the 1990s certainly do. As the Philadelphia Eagles and coach Nick Sirianni aim to accomplish the difficult task of repeating as champions, Sirianni has turned to someone with firsthand experience: legendary coach Jimmy Johnson.

On Sunday's Fox Sports broadcast, Jay Glazer revealed that Sirianni reached out to Johnson last month to seek advice on handling the unique pressures that come with trying to win back-to-back championships.

"It's our first show on the road without Jimmy Johnson," Glazer said during the segment. "Thanks to Nick Sirianni, we have a little bit of Jimmy Johnson here. Nick told me about three weeks ago he called Jimmy for advice on how to go back to back."

Johnson, who led the Cowboys to the 1992 and '93 championships, told Sirianni the most important lesson is to resist complacency once a team reaches the top.

"He said, 'I would get harder on my coaches after we won.' So they got harder on the players," Glazer said. "That's the biggest thing. You've got to stay more connected to your coaches, to your players. Nick told me last night, 'I've taken that to heart. I've made sure that I put an emphasis on staying super connected to everybody on this team.'"

It will be interesting to see how Sirianni leads his team back to the championship game.

On Sunday afternoon, the Eagles will face the Kansas City Chiefs in a highly anticipated Super Bowl rematch. Nick Sirianni could lean on some of Jimmy Johnson's advice to navigate this challenging matchup.
