The Philadelphia Eagles will enter the 2025 NFL season as defending Super Bowl champions.
But there's a chance they can get even more dangerous.
That's what Pro Football Focus analyst Dalton Wasserman is predicting.
Specifically, he expects huge leaps out of two players: Defensive tackle Jalen Carter and cornerback Quinyon Mitchell.
In recent analysis, Wasserman suggests that Carter and Mitchell can each become the best player at their position in the NFL.

Carter was the No. 9 overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft out of Georgia.
He has 10.5 sacks through his first two seasons, totaling 75 tackles and 25 quarterback hits.
Mitchell went No. 22 in the 2024 draft after starring in the MAC at Toledo.
As a rookie, Mitchell made 46 tackles and had 12 passes defensed while developing more quickly than rookies normally do into a shutdown corner.
Even if Carter and Mitchell just play at their 2024 level in 2025, that'll be big for the Eagles.
But if they take this projected leap? Look out.
