The Philadelphia Eagles are squaring off against the New York Giants on Thursday night in Week 6 and wide receiver A.J. Brown is off to another slow start.
Slow starts are nothing new for Brown and fellow wideout DeVonta Smith, as both have routinely been quiet in games this season, which has led to some frustration from quarterback Jalen Hurts' top-two options in the passing game.
In Week 6, we're seeing more of the same. Here's a closer look at what's going on with the Eagles wide receiver.
Is A.J. Brown playing tonight?
UPDATE: Brown has his first target and catch of the game on the Eagles' third drive. It went for 30 yards.
Hopefully there's a lot more coming for the star wideout.
END OF UPDATE
UPDATE: Two drives and still nothing for Brown.
This is beyond frustrating.
END OF UPDATE
Yes, Brown is active and in the lineup, he just wasn't targeted on the first series of the game.
The Eagles' opening drive featured two big gains from Saquon Barkley, but Philly's signal-caller only threw one pass before the Eagles were forced to settle for a field goal.
Unfortunately, this is pretty much par for the course for this season. Hopefully Brown will get going on the next drive.
