Troy Aikman has been a mainstay in the world of football for decades.
After a legendary career at UCLA, Aikman was selected first overall by the Cowboys in the 1989 NFL Draft and lived up to the billing. His Hall of Fame career included three Super Bowl titles, six Pro Bowl selections, and an MVP award for his efforts in Super Bowl 27.
Aikman retired from the game in 2000 and quickly became one of the most respected voices in broadcasting, joining the top crew on Fox's NFL coverage before moving to ESPN's "Monday Night Football" in 2022.

Troy Aikman daughters
Aikman has two daughters from his first marriage to Rhonda Worthey: Jordan Ashley and Alexa Marie.
Jordan Ashley Aikman
Jordan is the oldest of Troy's two daughters.
She was born in August 2001 and is an Assistant Account Executive of Financial & Corporate Communications at Prosek Partners, per her LinkedIn. She is an alumna of Washington and Lee University, where she received her Bachelor's degree in Strategic Communication.
Troy described Jordan as "the adventurer" in a 2024 birthday post, crediting her for having an "optimistic and kind heart."
Alexa Marie Aikman
Born in July 2002, Alexa is the younger of Troy's two daughters.
A Brand Consultant at Andrews Distributing, per LinkedIn, Alexa, or Ally, attended the School of Business at Southern Methodist University. In a 2025 birthday tribute, Aikman described Alexa as "kind, smart, funny, strong and beautiful."

Troy Aikman mom: Charlyn Marie Bailey Aikman
Troy's mother is Charlyn Marie Bailey Aikman.
Charlyn was a society editor for the local newspaper in Henryetta, Okla. In his Hall of Fame speech, Troy said, "My mother Charlyn sacrificed so much for myself and my two sisters," adding that, "You've always given more than you've gotten, yet I don't think you'd have it any other way. The older I get, the more I understand how much you sacrificed and your children will forever be indebted to you."
Charlyn died on Nov. 9, 2022, and Aikman took to Instagram to post a tribute to his mother one day later.
"I’ve always believed there are angels among us. My Mom was one of those angels," Aikman wrote. "My sisters and I could not have asked for a better mother. A selfless woman that sacrificed more than anyone could imagine for the betterment of her children.
"Since her passing last night, I have received an outpouring of support. The prevailing message is how kind she was to them which is not a surprise to me. She was kind to everyone."
Troy Aikman dad: Kenneth Aikman
Troy's dad is Kenneth Aikman.
In Troy's early years, Kenneth was a construction foreman who laid water and gas lines. Kenneth had ambitions of operating a ranch and moved the family to a 172-acre farm in Oklahoma when Troy was 12.
Kenneth showed tough love to his children and, in 1998, a source close to the family said that "Troy praises his father’s toughness now, but life at home was rarely pleasant for him."
In 1993, Kenneth admitted that he hadn't shown his son affection "more than maybe once or twice," instead putting him to work on the family's farm. Troy did not speak at length about his father in the past, but did describe him by saying, "My father was not a man you wanted to mess with," adding that he picked up football "to prove that I was as tough as he was."

Troy Aikman sisters
Aikman has two older sisters, Terri and Tammy. He spoke at length about them during his induction into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
"Terri and Tammy were pretty good athletes themselves, and since I didn't have a brother, they were the ones who satisfied my need to get better by playing catch, running routes, rebounding baskets, and doing pretty much anything else a little brother needed."
Tammy Aikman-Powell
Tammy Powell is one of Aikman's older sisters.
Powell is a healthcare professional as a mental health nurse. She is the president of SSM Health St. Anthony Hospital - Oklahoma City and Bone & Joint Hospital at St. Anthony.
In November 2024, Powell received an award for making a "substantial contribution of service" to the Oklahoma Hospital Association (OHA).
Terri Starns
Starns is Aikman's oldest sister.
Starns is a registered nurse based in Lewisville, Texas. She has a more private profile than Powell, but did comment, "So proud of my Sis!!" after Powell received her distinction from the OHA.

Is Troy Aikman married?
Aikman is not married, but is twice divorced.
His first marriage was to Rhonda Worthey in 2000. They share two daughters and were divorced in 2011. Aikman's second marriage was to Catherine Mooty in September 2017. News of their divorce was shared in 2023.
Where is Troy Aikman from?
Aikman was born in West Covina, Calif., and he and his family lived in Los Angeles County until he was 12 years old. His family then moved to Henryetta, Okla., where Aikman attended high school.
His college career was in reverse order, as Aikman began at the University of Oklahoma before transferring to UCLA.
