NFL Week 4 kicks off with a divisional showdown in the desert between two 2-1 teams.

The Seattle Seahawks and Arizona Cardinals have both gotten off to strong starts in the 2025 season, and their clash on Thursday Night Football has major implications for the NFC West. While it’s early in the season, this game will be a crucial step in their playoff aspirations, especially since both of their lone losses have come at the hands of a division rival in the San Francisco 49ers.

The Seahawks have a revamped offense in year two of the Mike Macdonald era. Seattle has a new quarterback at the helm in 2025 in Sam Darnold, who threw for a career-high 4,319 yards and 35 touchdowns in 2024 with the Minnesota Vikings. Along with Darnold, Seattle traded for former triple-crown winner Cooper Kupp to pair alongside star wideout Jaxson Smith-Njigba, who has over 96 yards in all three games this season.

On the other side, Arizona opened the season with two straight wins over the New Orleans Saints and Carolina Panthers before losing to San Francisco in Week 3. The Cardinals' offense suffered a major blow when James Conner sustained an ankle injury that will sideline him for the remainder of the season, but there are still plenty of offensive pieces at quarterback Kyler Murray's disposal, including Trey McBride and Marvin Harrison Jr.

Both teams will look to grab their first NFC West win of the season on Thursday night and advance to 3-1. Follow along for updates throughout the game below.

9:55 p.m.: After Darnold fumbles for a loss on the first play, a Jaxson-Smith Njigba end-around gets Seattle close to the chains.

Darnold connects with Barner on a play-action pass to keep the chains moving on third down.

9:53 p.m.: Arizona has kicked off and the second half is underway.

Seattle gets the ball first looking to add on to an 11-point lead.

9:45 p.m.: At halftime, Seattle is dominating on both sides of the ball. Two touchdowns, one rushing and one passing, have the Seahawks in the drivers seat with a 14-3 lead.

The Seahawks defense has given Kyler Murray plenty of difficulties. He is 14-for-23 for 83 yards and two interceptions.

Halftime: Seahawks 14, Cardinals 3

9:38 p.m.: The Cardinals were facing a 3rd and 10 in their own territory, but Murray hits Dortch on a screen pass and the receiver takes it 12 yards to keep the drive moving.

The next play, Murray is brought down by Leonard Williams for Seattle's second sack of the game. Arizona runs a few more plays before the clock runs out in the first half, as the Seahawks take a two-score lead into the locker room.

Seahawks 14, Cardinals 3

9:28 p.m.: Darnold rolls left and the ball to Arroyo in the end zone, but the tight end is tackled by Cardinals safety Budda Baker, who is flagged for pass interference to move the ball down to the one.

The subsequent third down, Charbonnet takes the handoff and muscles it in for a one-yard touchdown. The Seahawks take a two-possession lead right before halftime.

9:23 p.m.: On the first play of the Seattle drive, Darnold rolls to his right and throws one up to Elijah Arroyo; the rookie tight end comes down with a 32-yard reception.

The next play, Darnold steps up in the pocket and runs for 24 yards. A 15-yard Zach Charbonnet run right after gets the Seahawks inside the 20 before the two minute warning.

9:20 p.m.: The Cardinals offense has stifled out of the gate.

Murray completes two passes for four yards before Michael Carter gets stuffed by the Seattle defense on 3rd and 2. The Cardinals are forced to punt for the third time.

9:16 p.m.: Campbell has his second big play of the game.

On a 3rd and 18, Darnold hits Charbonnet for a screen pass, but the veteran defensive end swallows him up immediately. Seattle is 1-for-4 on third down.

9:13 p.m.: Darnold almost connects with Horton for a deep touchdown on the first play of Seattle's drive, but the receiver can't hold on. On the next play, the quarterback responds immediately, hitting Jake Bobo over the middle of the field for a first down.

9:09 p.m.: The Cardinals brought the ball into the red zone, and Murray is able to find Harrison Jr. on an in-route on the right side of the field. But, the receiver has trouble holding onto the ball and it falls into the hands of Seattle's Ernest Jones IV, who returns it for 29 yards.

It's the second week where Harrison Jr. has a crucial drop, and this time, it results in a turnover. Murray has two interceptions in the first half.

9:06 p.m.: On a 3rd and 7, Murray hits McBride on the right side of the field to keep the chains moving. McBride gains seven yards on the catch.

The next play, Murray once again finds McBride on a similar route, this time for 17 yards.

He has four catches for 35 yards on the night.

9:00 p.m.: Seattle is unable to extend the lead, being forced to punt after a five-play drive, and Greg Dortch returns it 16 yards. On the drive, Calais Campbell — who is in his 18th season in the NFL — brought down Darnold for his third sack of the season.

Arizona will start at the 28-yard line.

8:58 p.m.: Cardinals' linebacker Mack Wilson Sr. went down on the field after a first down carry by Charbonnet.

Wilson had 28 tackles entering the game, which led the team.

End of the first quarter: Seahawks 7, Cardinals 3

8:50 p.m.: On second down, Murray gets brought down by Uchenna Nwosu for the first sack of the game, then right after, he's forced to scramble out of bounds. Time expires in the first quarter.

Arizona will be forced to punt for the second time.

Seahawks 7, Cardinals 3

8:45 p.m. TOUCHDOWN: Right after the completion to Kupp. Darnold hits A.J. Barner on a wheel route on the left side of the field. Barner catches it and steps into the end zone for a 16-yard touchdown, the Seahawks first of the game.

It's Barner's second touchdown of the season and Darnold's fifth through the air.

8:45 p.m.: For the first time of the night, Darnold connects with Cooper Kupp. On third down, Darnold hits Kupp on a quick curl route to move the chains for Seattle, who is now inside the 20.

Kupp was traded to the Seahawks this offseason.

8:42 p.m.: After the Cardinals field goal, the Seahawks are across midfield. Walker gets three straight carries for a combined 30 yards and Seattle is inside the Cardinals 40-yard line.

Cardinals 3, Seahawks 0

8:38 p.m. FIELD GOAL: The Cardinals are not able to capitalize after good field position and a personal foul.

Chad Ryland hits a 27-yard field goal to open up the scoring.

8: 34 p.m.: Murray dumps it off on a short completion to Benson, but the running back is grabbed by the face mask on the tackle.

The Cardinals are in the red zone for the first time tonight.

8:29 p.m.: On second down, Murray makes an ill-advised throw which lands right in the hands of Seattle safety Coby Bryant, who did not have any receivers around him. Though, on the return, Bryant fumbles and Arizona recovers.

The Cardinals offense gets bailed out after Murrays' second interception of the season.

8:25 p.m.: Darnold connects with Tory Horton for the first time of the night on a 3rd and 10, and Horton runs it right near the line to gain. But, on fourth and 1, Seattle opts to hand it to Charbonnet for the first time of the night, and he is stuffed by the Cardinals defense.

Arizona takes it over near midfield.

8:23 p.m.: The Seahawks offense opens up the game with two Kenneth Walker touches.

After getting stuffed by the Cardinals defense on a first down run, Darnold hits Walker on a screen pass on the left side. Walker takes it for 29 yards and the Seahawks are near midfield.

8:19 p.m.: The Cardinals faced a 3rd and 7, and Seattle sent a blitz on Murray. The quarterback rolls to his right and is able to make a throw to Michael Wilson downfield, but the receiver fails to bring it in.

Arizona punts on their first drive.

8:16 p.m.: On the first play of the game, Murray hits Harrison Jr. on a screen pass, and he takes it for eight yards. The quarterback follows it up with a seven yard completion to second-year tight end Trey McBride.

8:15 p.m.: Seattle has kicked off and we are underway in Glendale.

The Cardinals will start with the ball. Kyler Murray and the offense looks to score first.

8:10 p.m.: Seattle and Arizona legends will be behind the camera lense for tonight's game.

Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch and Diamondbacks pitcher Randy Johnson will be photographers in Arizona.

8:00 p.m.: The Seahawks are getting key pieces in their secondary for tonight's game. This includes Devon Witherspoon, who missed the past two games with an ankle injury.

Safety Julian Love is also returning for Seattle.

7:40 p.m.: The Cardinals have also taken the field in their rivalry edition uniforms.

7:35 p.m.: Sam Darnold and the Seahawks have taken the field.

Darnold has two touchdown passes in each of his past two games. Through three games, he has 663 yards, four touchdowns and two interceptions.

7:10 p.m.: Players have started to take the field for warmups. This includes Cardinals' signal-caller Kyler Murray and wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr., who are both dressed to match the Arizona sand theme.

Harrison Jr. has not had a great start to the 2025 season, capped off with a big drop in Week 3 against the San Francisco 49ers. He hopes to bounce back tonight.

6:53 p.m.: Seattle has also announced its inactives for the Week 4 matchup against Arizona.

Zach Charbonnet, who was questionable throughout the week with a foot injury, is officially active.

6:50 p.m.: The Cardinals have officially posted their inactives for Thursday Night Football.

Most notable is Will Johnson, who Arizona selected in the second round of the 2025 NFL Draft, who is out with a groin injury.

6:42 p.m.: Expect celebrities in the house for a primetime matchup, and that includes Peter Herbstreit.

Peter, who accompanies Kirk on his broadcasting trips, has taken the field in Arizona.

Herbstreit is a color analyst for tonight's game, then will be traveling to Happy Valley, Pa. for ESPN's "College GameDay" on Saturday morning. Right after, he'll be going down to Athens, Ga. for a primetime kickoff between No. 17 Alabama and No. 5 Georgia. Kirk and Peter will travel over 4,200 miles.

6:41 p.m.: We're only a few hours away from kickoff, and State Farm Stadium looks different.

As part of the NFL's "rivalry uniforms" release, the Cardinals will be wearing their sand-colored uniforms. So, the field in Glendale had to match.

On the other side, Seattle will be wearing its traditional navy blue jerseys with "wolf grey" pants.
