The Saints host the Cardinals in their 2025 NFL season opener on Sunday at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans.

Both teams enter a new camapaign hoping to bounce back after underwhelming outings last year. The Saints finished 5-12, fourth in the NFC South last year and face major questions again in 2025. The Cardinals showed a four-win improvement at 8-9 but still finished only third in the NFC West and missed the postseason.

Derek Carr's sudden retirement left a major void at quarterback for New Orleans and put new head coach Kellen Moore -- last year’s offensive coordinator of the Super Bowl champions Eagles -- in a difficult spot. Second-year signal-caller Spencer Rattler is likely to edge out rookie second-rounder Tyler Slough for the starting role, even though he went winless with a 0-6 record in 2025.

Meanwhile, the Cardinals are eager to open their season by making a statement in the NFC West. They have revamped their defense with additions like Josh Sweat, Calais Campbell, Walter Nolen, and Will Johnson.

On offense, the spotlight will be on star quarterback Kyler Murray to avoid injuries and also see an improvement in his chemistry with wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. If that happens, Arizona could transform into one of the most dynamic units in the league.

Here is everything you need to know about Saints vs. Cardinals, including TV and streaming options for the game.
