The Ravens are taking on the Bills on Sunday Night Football, in what could be another potential playoff rematch. The Bills got the win in January last year, but it is a new season with both teams having legitimate Super Bowl aspirations.
NBC is on the call with kickoff scheduled for 8:15 pm ET. Below, we detail our favorite Ravens-Bills props for the AFC battle. There are several NFL betting bonuses you can use for these wagers.
Ravens-Bills Props | Odds |
Josh Allen Anytime TD | +100 on FanDuel |
Justice Hill Over 17.5 Receiving Yards | -110 on BetMGM |
Josh Palmer Over 27.5 Receiving Yards | -109 on DraftKings |
Allen Rumbles Find the Endzone
For our first play of the evening, let's roll with what can lovingly be categorized as a "Free Square," which is Josh Allen to record a touchdown.
Last year, Allen only scored a rushing TD in two of the Bills first nine games. After that, he scored in seven of their last 10 games, including four games with multiple touchdowns. One of those games with multiple TDs was against the Ravens in the divisional round. While he did not score in their regular season game, that was a weird one where the Bills were blown out from the jump and lost by 25, which is not the expectation in this one, on either side. We should see a close game.
If we go back to the 2023 season, Allen scored in 14 of 19 games, which was 14 of the last 17 games as he did not score in the first two games of the year.
So, when you put it all together, Allen has scored a TD in 60% of his games over the last two years. The matchup against the Ravens is average in terms of how rushing QBs fair against them, but the Ravens had among the best run defenses in the entire NFL last season.
The guess here is that the Bills are going to be passing a decent amount in this game in general, and when they get close to the goal line they will utilize Allen's legs as a matchup advantage.
Hill Gets Involved in the Passing Game
This one might seem a little random, but it is all about the matchup. Last year, the Bills allowed the most receiving yards to running backs in the entire NFL. They were tied for allowing the second-most receptions and allowed the third-highest target share go to the running back position.
Part of that is because they play the Dolphins and De'Von Achane twice a year, who gets a ton of receiving work. Achane had 69 and 58 receiving yards on seven and eight receptions against the Bills last year. That said, another running back that had a ton of success against the Bills in the passing game was Justice Hill himself, who went off for 78 receiving yards on six receptions.
That was in the regular season game, and while Hill did not have as good of a game in the playoff matchup between these two teams, it is still generally a good matchup for Hill and RB receiving props in general. Look for Hill to catch a couple passes to get us over the 17.5 receiving yard number in this one.
Palmer Steps Up for Bills
As good as the Bills are, and were last year, they do not quite have that receiving weapon for teams to worry about. While Josh Palmer certainly will not remind anybody of Ja'Marr Chase, of course, he is a solid, reliable receiver.
Last year, as a member of the Chargers, Palmer went over this number in 10/15 games, and in 7/11 games in 2023. Yes, it was for a different team and situation, but it was a similar environment where the Chargers did not have a true number one receiver and Palmer received consistent work.
This year, Palmer goes to a Bills team with Allen at the helm, who did a great job of spreading the ball around last year, their first year in a while with Stefon Diggs. The Bills also have had multiple wide receiver injuries throughout training camp. It looks like they will play, but it is a tale as old as time seeing players start the season slow after missing time over the summer.
That includes the Bills target leader from last year in Khalil Shakir, who dealt with a high ankle sprain all summer, and Bills 2024 first round pick in Keon Coleman, who has been limited with a groin injury. So, the expectation here is that Palmer is involved enough in the offense to record 30+ receiving yards on Sunday night.
