'Madden 20' rookie ratings: Quinnen Williams, Ed Oliver top list of NFL's best players from 2019 class

"Madden NFL 20" ratings were released Monday, one of the biggest annual indicators that football season is nigh.

While the ratings are constantly updated as the season progresses, their initial release prompts elation from fans who are seeking some semblance of football as they anticipate the upcoming campaign.

Those involved in determining the ratings had last season's performance to review for many players, but this year's rookie class is chock full of unknowns. Stars are bound to emerge, but the rookie ratings on Madden are the first chance to see how this year's class stacks up. Defensive tackles Quinnen Williams and Ed Oliver — the Nos. 3 and 9 overall picks, respectively — are the highest-rated rookies, while No. 1 overall selection Kyler Murray is undervalued compared to a lot of the first-year crop.

No. 2 pick Nick Bosa checks in right behind Williams and Oliver, while wide receiver Marquise Brown, who was selected 25th overall, has the highest rating of any offensive player. Murray is notably absent the list.
