Week 2 of the 2025 NFL season brings an NFC North divisional clash as the Lions host the Bears on Sunday at the Ford Field.

Both Detroit and Chicago endured losses in their season-opening games. While the Lions fell 27-13 to Micah Parsons' Packers, the Bears finished suffered a narrow 27-24 defeat to the Vikings in 2025's first Monday night football fixture.

The Lions' offense put out a poor display in John Morton's debut as coordinator, managing just two field goals and an interception on three red-zone trips in the first 35 minutes.

The Bears looked decent for three quarters and well in control of the game until Vikings' rookie quarterback J.J. McCarthy turned the game on the head with a late surge in the fourth quarter. The Bears defense had no response for Minnesota's rally as they gave up a 10-point lead and ran out of gas when it mattered.

The NFC North rivals now meet for the 191st time, with Chicago holding a 105-80-5 edge in the head-to-head series but have dropped five of the last six meetings against Detroit.
