Jayden Daniels fantasy injury update: Commanders QB needs Week 3 lineup replacement image

Fantasy football managers drafted Jayden Daniels to be a star in their quarterback position.

Through two weeks, it's been a bit rough, and it's only getting worse.

Daniels hasn't practiced all week for the Washington Commanders, and it seems likely he won't be able to play Sunday in Week 3.

Marcus Mariota is set to be the starting QB, and that's not terrible news for the Commanders' receivers.

The big question is this: What do those with Daniels in their lineup do now?

Early in the week, Commanders coach Dan Quinn said he hoped to have Daniels on the practice field on Friday.

Instead, Daniels hasn't been out there for any of the three days.

He's a QB1 in fantasy football when healthy, but this week, it looks like you'll have to bench him.

If Daniels is the only QB on your roster, don't panic.

There are a handful of useful quarterbacks who are under 50% rostered in ESPN leagues (check first for Daniel Jones, who is 74%).

Russell Wilson is coming off a 450-yard game, and while he won't do that again, he has the fun Sunday night matchup against the Chiefs.

Matthew Stafford has a tough matchup in Philly. Trevor Lawrence takes on the Texans in a game that the Jags could need to throw to move the ball. Michael Penix Jr. gets a friendly matchup with the Panthers.

Mariota isn't even a terrible pickup in a pinch.

Hopefully, Daniels is back soon.
