The Jets have been welcomed back into the spotlight for the 2023 NFL season, and in true New York fashion, they are making sure everyone knows about it.

Gang Green is armed with talent and facing expectations for the first time in a long time thanks to the arrival of Aaron Rodgers. How to watch 'Hard Knocks'

  • TV channel: HBO
  • Live stream: Max

The "Hard Knocks" series is produced by HBO and therefore is exclusive to the network. Don't expect to find the show anywhere else. Viewers can watch the training camp hit through their cable provider by adding HBO to their existing plan.

The series will also be available on HBO's streaming service, Max, along with other shows live and on demand. Max starts at $9.99 a month.

How have featured teams on 'Hard Knocks' fared?

Most teams aren't fond of opening their building to increased exposure during a pivotal time in the NFL year, and some squads haven't experienced success after being featured.

NFL rules regarding the series also play a role. Teams that have made the playoffs in at least one of the previous two years are not eligible for the show. Neither are teams with a first-year head coach, or teams that have been on the show in the past 10 years. That leaves a small group of teams that haven't been contenders recently, and they have little choice but to accept being filmed.

But it's not all bad news for the Jets in 2023. Seven of the 18 teams that have been featured on "Hard Knocks" have gone on to play in the postseason that year, and one of them was the 2010 Jets, who went 11-5 and advanced to the AFC championship game under Rex Ryan.

This year's edition of "Hard Knocks" with the Jets should have no shortage of storylines. The new-look squad is expected to win — now. Rodgers will be a focal point, whether he likes it or not, as he leads just his second team in his 19 NFL seasons.

Add in coaching staff full of personalities and roster to match, and you have television gold. Grab the popcorn and enjoy the show.
