The Eagles and Chiefs have played each other in two of the last three Super Bowls. Interestingly enough, they have rematched the following season each time.

The Kansas City Chiefs got the better of the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl 57, but the Eagles won the regular season rematch the following year. Then, they played again in Super Bowl 59, with the Eagles raising the Lombardi Trophy. Now, they are set to play in Week 2 of the NFL regular season. Kickoff is scheduled for 4:25 pm ET in Kansas City.

Below, we detail our three favorite Eagles-Chiefs props for the anticipated AFC-NFC matchup.

Eagles-Chiefs Prop PickOdds
Johan Dotson Over 11.5 Receiving Yards-110 on BetMGM
Juju Smith-Schuster Over 30.5 Receiving Yards-110 on bet365
A.J. Brown Over 65.5 Receiving Yards-113 on DraftKings

Dotson Clears Low Number

There is no doubt that Jahan Dotson’s first season with the Eagles was a disappointment, as he only went over this number in 4/16 games. That even includes a couple games that one of A.J. Brown and/or DeVonta Smith missed, and he could still not get much going last year.

That said, one of his best games of the year was in the Super Bowl, when he recorded 42 receiving yards on two receptions and three targets, which was the most receiving yards he had in a game with Jalen Hurts. Technically, he had 94 receiving yards in Week 18, but the Eagles rested all their starters in that game. Dotson seemed to take the momentum from that Super Bowl performance into the off-season, where it looked in training camp that he developed a real rapport with Hurts.

It helped that both Smith and Brown missed a decent amount of time over the summer, but it also seemed as though Dotson was going to be more involved in the real offense, which was the case in Week 1. He led the Eagles in receiving yards with 59, which included a huge, 50+ yard catch on third-down early in the game. He had three targets in that game, catching all three.

It is only a one-game sample size, but it is also the only data we have, and Dotson was primed for more of a role on the 2025 Eagles than he had in 2024, and the guess here is that continues somewhat in this game.

Smith-Schuster Involved in Chiefs Passing Attack

The guess here is that Hollywood Brown is going to popular in this game for the Chiefs, but we like the pivot to JuJu Smith-Schuster instead. For starters, he needs about half the production that Brown does to hit his props, which is part of the logic. Even with Worthy returning to practice, Smith-Schuster is still a look on Sunday.

He had 5 targets in Week 1, which he caught all 5 of for 55 receiving yards. This is all about the matchup for Smith-Schuster, though, who excels in zone coverage. This is only a one-week sample size, but last week vs. zone coverage, Smith-Schuster had the highest separation score and second-highest win rate on the Chiefs, with the second-most yards per route run and targets per route run of all pass-catchers on the Chiefs.

Yes, Brown was above him in the yards per route run stuff, but not by a dramatic amount, which led us to Smith-Schuster. The reason the zone coverage numbers are important is the Eagles were a heavy zone team last year, and they played zone about 80% of the time in Week 1 against the Cowboys, and 90% of the time in the Super Bowl last year against the Chiefs.

So, the expectation is that the Eagles once again go heavy in zone, and that Smith-Schuster gets enough work to get us to 31 or more yards here. Check out NFL betting boosts for these props after signing up on bet365 Sportsbook.

Trust Brown After Quiet Week 1

Classic positive regression, squeaky wheel treatment for Brown in this one. He did not receive a target until the final drive of the game, when he caught his only target for eight total yards. This led to a ton of speculation as to whether Brown was fully healthy after missing a lot of training camp with a hamstring injury, and chatter over what was going on with Brown.

To his credit, he said he was fully healthy, just that the Cowboys took him out of the game with zone coverage. The Eagles are hyper-aware of the talk from Browns regarding getting touches, and the guess here is that they get him involved early-and-often in this one.

Luckily, we have a large sample size of Brown performing well in an Eagles uniform. Even including missing last week, Brown has gone over this number in 21/35 games (60% hit rate) over the last two years, averaging over 77 yards per game. Even last year, in what was considered a down year for the Eagles passing game, Brown went over in 10/17 games.

While the Chiefs are a tough matchup historically, we did see them get torched by the Chargers last week, allowing all three of Ladd McConkey, Quentin Johnston and Keenan Allen go over their receiving prop. Brown goes off on Sunday.
