The Eagles and Browns are set to lock horns on Saturday in a preseason showdown that promises more than just vanilla play-calling.
Week 1 of the preseason served as the appetizer for the NFL’s grand return, and both squads brought some early fireworks. Cleveland’s rookie signal-caller Shedeur Sanders turned heads in his debut, slinging two touchdown passes against the Carolina Panthers.
Meanwhile, Philadelphia, despite keeping most of its starters in bubble wrap, saw backup quarterback Tanner McKee light up the Cincinnati Bengals with a pair of scores through the air.
Now the two teams will square off, with roster spots and depth chart positions still very much up for grabs. Even if some headline names remain on the sidelines, the undercard battles on both sides of the ball could steal the show.
