The Los Angeles Chargers, widely regarded as one of the NFL’s most stylish franchises, have once again upgraded their on-field wardrobe for the 2025 season by unveiling a vibrant, all-gold alternate uniform.
Dubbed "Charger Power," the new look features the team’s first-ever gold jersey, paired with matching gold pants and the classic white helmet. The jersey, with white numbers outlined in powder blue, first became popular as a retail item and was added as an official alternate due to strong fan demand.

Chargers gold uniforms
The Chargers revealed changes to their wardrobe this previous offseason, and the most noticeable was the new "Charger Power" uniforms.

The gold uniforms are a nostalgic homage to the team's high-flying "Air Coryell" era of the late 1970s and early 1980s, when the slogan "Charger Power" became synonymous with the team's explosive offense under head coach Dan Coryell .
Los Angeles' end zones at SoFi Stadium will be powder blue and feature the retro Chargers logo with a bold "H," which was used in the early days of the franchise.

The gold jersey is just one of the Chargers’ major uniform updates for 2025. The team also unveiled a modernized version of their popular navy alternate kit, nicknamed "Super Chargers," featuring a new navy helmet that pays homage to the LaDainian Tomlinson era. Additionally, a new set of powder blue pants expands the team’s mix-and-match options, keeping the Chargers at the forefront of uniform combinations and visual appeal.

Chargers record in gold uniforms
For the first time in franchise history, the Chargers will wear gold uniforms. Los Angeles is known for its extensive wardrobe over the years, including navy and powder blue jerseys, but a gold jersey has never been part of the mix.
The gold pants, a staple since the team’s most recent uniform update, will be paired with the gold jersey on Sunday.
The Chargers are scheduled to wear the gold uniforms just once during the 2025 season.
