Dalvin Cook's recent success and Kirk Cousin's prime-time struggles will be fighting against each other on "Monday Night Football" in a battle of two NFC North rivals.
The Vikings (3-5) travel to Chicago (5-4) to play the Bears on Monday. Cook has put up more than 400 total yards across Minnesota's last two wins, but Cousins has never won on Monday night. So what's going to give? It could mostly come down to how Chicago's defense slows Cook. A limited Cook would force Cousins to pass more in an environment he hasn't found much success in in the past.

If the Bears' defense does its job, Nick Foles will have a chance. He might not lead his offense to put up 40 points, but against a bad Minnesota secondary, the Bears could approach 30 points if things break the right way. The first step toward that might be getting David Montgomery healed from a concussion so Chicago's attack can be balanced and set up play-action passes to Allen Robinson and Darnell Mooney.

Bears vs. Vikings start time

Bears vs. Vikings starts at the normal "Monday Night Football" time and is the only game on Monday, after Weeks 4 and 6 each had a pair of games on Monday stemming from COVID-19 related postponements.
It'll be the second time on prime time for the Vikings this season after losing earlier in the year to Seattle by a lone point on Sunday night in Week 5. Chicago has a win on a Thursday night this season over the Buccaneers, but they also lost a Monday night matchup with the Rams in Week 7, making Chicago the only team in this matchup to have already played on MNF this season.
