Justin Fields injury update: Jets QB head hits turf hard vs. Bills, forces exit image

The New York Jets had an awful, awful Sunday.

They were down 30-3 to the Buffalo Bills in the fourth quarter when it got worse.

Justin Fields was brought down hard to the turf, and his head snapped back to pound into the ground.

The drive was over, and Fields' day potentially was, too.

Justin Fields injury update

Fields went into the medical tent after the drive.

CBS Sports sideline reporter Tracy Wolfson shared on the broadcast that Fields was being evaluated for a concussion.

The Jets' backup QB is Tyrod Taylor, the veteran who once made a Pro Bowl for the Bills.

Taylor came in on the next drive. Fields departed for the locker room.

The Jets had such a narrow loss in Week 1, one that raised optimism for the season.

The optimism appears far fetched, now.

The Bills were much too good for the Jets, and now Fields might miss some time, too.
