Coming off the team's Week 9 bye, the New York Jets were looking at a new-look defense without Sauce Gardner, Quinnen Williams, and Michael Carter II.
They kept the offense intact, adding Adonai Mitchell and John Metchie in two trades while holding onto Breece Hall. But Garrett Wilson went down with a knee injury, and his status going forward was in doubt.
One day before the Jets take on the New England Patriots on Thursday Night Football, the Jets announced a big update to Wilson's playing status for Week 11.
Jets' WR Garrett Wilson ruled out for Week 11
"We've downgraded WR Garrett Wilson and CB Azareye'h Thomas to OUT," the Jets announced on Twitter/X.
This move wasn't unexpected, as Wilson didn't practice on Monday or Tuesday. His status for Week 11, on a short week after re-injuring his knee in Week 10, was very much in doubt.
Without much question, the Jets officially ruled out their star wide receiver. Wilson has been banged up for the last few weeks and will miss another week at minimum.

Earlier in the week, Rich Cimini of ESPN reported that Wilson could miss 3-4 weeks. While there's been no word from Aaron Glenn on the status of Wilson, this week's ruling has the Jets WR officially missing at least one week.
So far this season, Wilson has 36 receptions for 295 yards and four touchdowns. The 25-year-old had a touchdown in three straight games, but after suffering a knee injury in Week 7 against the Denver Broncos, he has not been back to full health.
He logged three targets and no catches in the Jets' Week 10 win over the Cleveland Browns. Now ruled out for Week 11, Wilson will have missed two weeks on the year, and. Could be in line to miss a few more if his knee injury doesn't get better quickly.
