Former Jets draft pick Jordan Travis calls out owner Woody Johnson for rude remarks image

The New York Jets selected former Florida State quarterback Jordan Travis in the fifth round of the 2024 NFL Draft.

Unfortunately, he never played a snap in the league and had to retire, thanks to a brutal leg injury suffered in his final year of college football.

He did spend a year with the Jets, though, practicing and rehabbing with the team. Although it was only a short stint in New York, he did have a horrible story to share regarding Jets' owner Woody Johnson.

Jordan Travis reveals awful Woody Johnson interaction

In an episode of his podcast, Travis Take Two, the former Seminole commented on Johnson's treatment of Jets quarterback Justin Fields, whom he criticized at last week's NFL owners meetings in New York, and related it to an experience he had with Johnson.

"I gotta tell you, I mean that guy [Johnson], no disrespect but there were things that were said to me...about my leg...'you ever gonna get healthy?' Not 'how you feeling,' never that it was always comments like that," Travis told his brother, Devon.

"Kudos to Justin Fields. I don't know if you saw his press conference, you can see on his face he's not even distraught bro...it inspired me."

If true, this story is just another in the long line of ineptitude of the Jets' owner.

Johnson has never been very popular amongst fans and players, routinely receiving league-low grades in the NFLPA's yearly team report cards.

If the Jets are ever going to turn their misfortunes around, it starts at the top with ownership.
