It has been a weird season for New York Jets wide receiver Allen Lazard.
Entering the 2025 campaign, Lazard was expected to serve as the team's No. 2 wide receiver, but he has been anything but that with just 45 receiving yards through six games played.
Why has Lazard only playing six games when the Jets have played nine in total? That's where the weird part comes in, as Lazard has been a healthy scratch on multiple occasions throughout the season.
Is Lazard finally active on Thursday night against the New England Patriots in Week 11? Here's what we know.
Is Allen Lazard playing tonight?
Lazard is indeed active tonight, but it remains to be seen how much action he'll see after SNY's Connor Hughes reported that Lazard was not one of the wide receivers working with the starters in pre-game warm-ups.
"John Metchie, Tyler Johnson, Isaiah Williams and Arian Smith are warming up with the starting offense. So is Justin Fields. He's starting again," Hughes wrote.
It would be puzzling to see the Jets avoid using Lazard much considering their lack of options in the passing game due to Garrett Wilson's injury, but considering what we've seen with Lazard this season, it wouldn't shock us.
