Jaxson Dart has given New York Giants fans hope.

The rookie quarterback from Ole Miss has garnered belief in a lot of different ways. He plays with a swagger and a toughness and a very clear high-end talent.

He also has a cool look.

One aspect of Dart's look is his eye black, emphasis on eye, rather than eyes.

Dart only wears eye black under one eye, and there's a good reason for it.

Why does Jaxson Dart wear eye black on only one side?

Jaxson Dart only wears the eye black below his right eye, and it's because of Anakin Skywalker from Star Wars.

Dart has been doing this since his days at Ole Miss, which is explained in an article by Saturday Down South.

Dart noticed an LSU defensive back with eye black and decided to start doing it himself, with a twist.

By putting it only under his right eye, Dart felt he was paying tribute to Anakin Skywalker's scar on his right eye.

Now it's a part of his on-field identity.

Dart may not have the Giants heading toward the playoffs in an injury-impacted, bumpy rookie season. But he's got them moving in the right direction, with a look that will go along for the ride.
