New England will also love going against the Panthers' D, which has surrendered the 12th-most yards and eighth-most rushing yards in the NFL through three weeks.
Of course, Pats second-year quarterback Drake Maye will have to out-duel Bryce Young, who effectively game-managed Carolina to a landslide victory over Atlanta last weekend. The Panthers' 2023 No. 1 pick completed 16-of-24 passes, built off his rapport with rookie wideout Tetairoa McMillan, and ran in one of Carolina's two offensive touchdowns.
The Patriots will need to take care of business this weekend if they expect to compete for a spot in the 2025 NFL Playoffs. Buffalo has already cruised out to a 3-0 record in the AFC East, and six teams in the conference have started the season 2-1 or better. This isn't a must-win, but it's pretty close.
