The New England Patriots are on the doorstep on not only making the playoffs, but for winning the AFC East, also.

The Patriots will square off for their second and final meeting with the Buffalo Bills in Week 15. With a victory the Patriots will clinch a division title, their first since 2019.

But even if the Patriots lose to the Bills or tie them on Sunday, they can still clinch a spot in the postseason, but will need a little help in those scenarios.

Here's a full look at how the Patriots can punch their ticket to the postseason in Week 15, courtesy of the NFL.

How Patriots can clinch AFC East

This one is very simple, as all it takes is a Week 15 win over the Bills.

That would give the Pats a four-game lead over Buffalo when you include the head-to-head tie-breaker.

Patriots playoff-clinching scenarios

As we previously mentioned, all the Patriots have to do is win and they clinch the AFC East title and, of course, a playoff berth.

Here's what the Patriots need to happen in order to make the playoffs if they tie or lose to Buffalo on Sunday.

1. Patriots tie and Los Angeles Chargers lose.

2. Patriots tie and Houston Texans lose or tie.

3. Patriots tie and Indianapolis Colts lose or tie.

4. Patriots tie and Jacksonville Jaguars lose.

5. Patriots lose and Texans lose or tie and Colts lose or tie (both teams cannot tie, though).

The Chargers will take on the Kansas City Chiefs, the Texans will do battle versus the Arizona Cardinals, the Colts play the Seattle Seahawks and the Jaguars take on the New York Jets.
