Is Jordan Addison playing today? Why Vikings WR is off to quiet start vs. Browns image

The Minnesota Vikings are taking on the Cleveland Browns in Week 5 and will need Jordan Addison to step up against what is a tough defense.

Addison appeared in his first game of the 2025 season last week after returning from his suspension. And he wasted no time making an impact, with the young wideout tallying four catches for 114 yards.

However, Addison hasn't gotten off to the start we hoped he would early on in the Week 5 game against Cleveland.

Here's a closer look at what's going on.

Is Jordan Addison playing today?

UPDATE: Addison has his first catch on the opening drive of the second half.

It went for 15 yards.

END OF UPDATE

UPDATE: We are through an entire half of football and still no targets for Addison.

Making matters worse, Carson Wentz has come down with a shoulder injury and is questionable to return.

END OF UPDATE

UPDATE: NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports that Addison did not play in the first quarter because of a coach's decision, so that explains his quiet start.

Addison is now in the game in the second quarter. It is unclear what was behind the decision.

END OF UPDATE

UPDATE: Two drives and zero targets for Addison so far.

Wentz has connected with Jefferson, Hockenson, Jalen Nailor and Josh Oliver thus far.

END OF UPDATE

Yes, Addison is healthy, active and in the lineup, but we're still waiting on his first target.

Quarterback Carson Wentz targeted wide receiver Justin Jefferson and tight end T.J. Hockenson instead on the first drive, and the drive ended prematurely because of a fumble from running back Jordan Mason.

We'll see if Addison can get going soon.
