As if the Miami Dolphins needed something else to overcome, the team is going to be without wide receiver Tyreek Hill for a long period of time.
Hill suffered a gruesome knee injury in the Week 4 game against the New York Jets and had to be carted off the field. Watching the video told us everything we needed to know about how significant the issue was for the All-Pro wideout.
While Hill is going to miss a ton of time, can we expect to see him back this season?
Here's what we know.
Will Tyreek Hill play again this season?
No, Hill will not be back in 2025.
Not only did he suffer a dislocated knee, but he also tore ligaments in his knee, including his ACL. Miami has since confirmed the injury.
As far as 2026 is concerned, Hill's goal is to be ready after not having to undergo any additional procedures, according to his agent, which can sometimes happen with such an injury and lead to an even longer absence.
That said, Hill might be on a different roster next year.
CBS Sports' Jonathan Jones reports that the Dolphins are likely to release Hill after this season, so he might have played his last down in South Beach.
"The five-time first-team All Pro was in the second year of a three-year contract extension with Miami, and league sources expect the Dolphins to release Hill before the start of the next league year in March 2026," Jones wrote.
Jones also cast doubt on Hill's ability to be ready for the start of 2026.
