The Miami Dolphins' trading of Jalen Ramsey this offseason showed they're open to moving veteran players. So, could Tyreek Hill be next to leave South Florida before the NFL trade deadline in November?

Bleacher Report's Brent Sobleski broke down potential destinations for Hill and the kind of trade packages the Dolphins might receive in return. The Las Vegas Raiders are one possible landing spot, with Miami landing a promising player.

Dolphins trade: Tyreek Hill

Raiders trade: TE Michael Mayer, a 2026 fifth-round draft pick, and a 2027 seventh-round selection.

"Geno Smith is a veteran quarterback in need of a legitimate weapon at wide receiver," Sobleski wrote. "The Raiders don't have a reliable option beyond Jakobi Meyers, who isn't an explosive option, either. Hill can immediately enter the lineup as the clear WR1 without every taking a practice snap with the squad. Head coach Pete Carroll enters this season as the oldest coach in NFL history at 73.

"The Raiders aren't a team built to be patient, especially if minority owner Tom Brady is as involved in decision-making as it seems. Hill can be a difference-maker for the team because he doesn't need to be its No. 1 threat with tight end Brock Bowers already on the roster. The two can be fantastic complementary pieces, as opposing defenses would be stretched by bracketing both in coverage."

In two of his three seasons in Miami, Hill has topped 1,700 receiving yards and scored at least seven touchdowns. The Raiders face a tough division and will need to put up big points to keep pace with stars like Patrick Mahomes, Bo Nix, and Justin Herbert in the AFC West.

As for the Dolphins, they'll be receiving a promising tight end in Mayer, who has recorded 48 receptions for 460 receiving yards and two touchdowns in 25 games for the Raiders. The Notre Dame product could be an ideal security blanket for Tua Tagovailoa.

"Because of Bowers' presence, fellow TE Michael Mayer is expendable," Sobleski added. "Granted, the Raiders can easily move forward with both on the roster. Hill presents a different dynamic, though.

"Besides, Hill in the Raiders lineup gives the team a much better chance to compete in the stacked AFC West. In return, the Dolphins should be intrigued by adding the 24-year-old Mayer, especially after trading Jonnu Smith to the Pittsburgh Steelers."
