Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Puka Nacua picked up an unfortunate ankle injury in the team's Week 7 win over the Baltimore Ravens.

Nacua attempted to work his way back on the field after injuring his ankle in the first half of the game, playing in a few series. The injury continued to linger, and he wouldn't finish the final offensive drives in the game.

Heading into a new week, Puka Nacua's ankle injury continues to linger. With Sunday's matchup against the Jacksonville Jaguars approaching, reports indicate he's trending toward not playing in the Week 7 game.

In the NFL, an ankle sprain usually results in missing a few games. The injury is painful, and if it's not treated correctly, the risk of getting hurt again is high. With this being said, Puka Nacua wasn't seen practicing with the Rams on Thursday.

Earlier in the week, head coach Sean McVay initially reported that Nacua avoided a long-term injury and is listed as "day-to-day," according to ESPN's Sarah Barshop.

With him not logging any practices leading up to Week 7 against the Jaguars, there's still no certainty in him playing in Sunday's game in London, England.

It would be a huge loss for the Rams if he's unable to suit up. Through six games this season, Nacua leads the NFL in receptions (54) and is second, only behind the Seattle Seahawks' Jaxon Smith-Njigba, in receiving yards (616).

If he's unable to play, quarterback Matthew Stafford will look to depend on wide receivers Davante Adams, Tutu Atwell, and Jordan Whittington to help break the three-way tie in the NFC West with the Jaguars and 49ers.
