The Los Angeles Rams continue their 2025 preseason schedule with a home matchup against the Los Angeles Chargers on Saturday at SoFi Stadium.

As Stu Jackson of TheRams.com highlighted, here are five Rams players worth keeping an eye on in the second preseason contest:

Chris “Pooh” Paul Jr., LB

The rookie linebacker from Ole Miss wore the green dot in the opener, taking charge of defensive communication with poise and command.

Whether defensive coordinator Chris Shula keeps him in that role or rotates it to someone else, Paul’s presence in the middle of the defense is worth monitoring.

Xavier Smith, WR

The speedy wideout out of Florida A&M was the Rams’ most productive receiver last week against Dallas, catching three passes for 55 yards.

His downfield explosiveness makes him a valuable preseason storyline as he builds chemistry with the quarterbacks.

Jarquez Hunter, RB

Hunter’s running style stood out in the opener, finishing with 11 carries for 41 yards while consistently powering through contact.

The Auburn product continues to showcase the physicality that made him a training camp standout.

Stetson Bennett IV, QB

Last week’s win over the Cowboys was the most comfortable Bennett has looked in a Rams uniform. The former Georgia quarterback completed 16 of 24 passes for 188 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception. How he builds on that performance will be a key subplot against the Chargers.

Willie Lampkin IV, OL

Lampkin turned heads against Dallas with his aggressive blocking and leverage, despite being undersized for the center position at just 5-foot-11, 290 pounds. His performance drew praise from multiple analysts, and another strong outing could further solidify his roster chances.

The Rams are using the preseason to evaluate their depth across the board, and these five players are positioning themselves as potential difference-makers.

From Bennett’s growth at quarterback to Smith’s explosiveness at receiver, Saturday’s matchup with the Chargers will provide another valuable measuring stick for Los Angeles.
