The Los Angeles Rams are in the middle of a great season so far. Matthew Stafford is an MVP candidate, and the defense has shown flashes of elite potential.

Devante Adams and Puka Nacua are the best wide receiver duo in the NFL, and Kyren Williams and Blake Corum are dominating on the ground. Sean McVay has the Rams in a great spot. So much so that in Week 15, the playoffs are in the cards.

Mike Garafolo of NFL Network shared the Week 15 playoff scenarios for the New England Patriots, Denver Broncos, and the Rams. While the Patriots and Broncos have a few ways to make the playoffs this week, the Rams' path is simple: Win.

How Rams can clinch playoff berth in Week 15 vs. Lions

Playing the Detroit Lions on Sunday afternoon, the Rams have only one path to making the playoffs by the end of Week 15: The Rams will make the playoffs if they beat the Lions this week.

It's about as simple as it can get for the Rams. At 10-3, the Rams need to beat the 8-5 Lions to get into the playoffs by the end of Week 15.

The Rams get to play at home and face a Lions team that is coming off a Thursday Night Football win over the Dallas Cowboys.

But while the Lions are in decent shape, they've dealt with a ton of injuries all across their roster, specifically in the secondary.

Against Nacua and Adams, the Lions' depleted defensive backfield will likely be in for a long day in Week 15. Brian Branch is out for the year, and multiple other key defenders are missing Week 15's game due to injury.

This matchup provides an interesting storyline for the Rams and Stafford. He can clinch a playoff spot with a win in Week 15 over the Lions, and in turn, drastically hurt the Lions' playoff odds.

Rams-Lions in Week 15 will be a fun one, and for McVay and the rest of the Rams roster, a win would guarantee a trip back to the playoffs, regardless of whether they win the NFC West or not.
