The Los Angeles Chargers have already made an in-season trade in 2025, as the team acquired edge rusher Odafe Oweh from the Baltimore Ravens in early October. However, it sounds like the Chargers aren't done making moves.

According to USA Today's Tyler Dragon, Los Angeles has made inquiries about addressing their needs at running back and on the offensive line.

"The Los Angeles Chargers have made inquiries about adding a running back or help along their offensive line, a person familiar with the situation told USA TODAY Sports. The person spoke on condition of anonymity because they aren’t authorized to talk about the matter," Dragon wrote.

With Omarion Hampton on injured reserve with an ankle injury and Najee Harris out for the season with an Achilles tear, the Chargers could use another running back. Kimani Vidal has been solid as the starter, but the 24-year-old isn't capable of being a consistent three-down back over an extended period.

There aren't many high-profile running backs on the open market, but Los Angeles could find a serviceable player to insert into the backfield along with Vidal until Hampton returns.

The Chargers are also in need of offensive line help, as the unit hasn't been able to stay healthy all year. Bolstering the depth on the offensive line should be the primary focus for general manager Joe Hortiz ahead of the deadline.

One player who would benefit greatly from Los Angeles making moves would be quarterback Justin Herbert, who has had to overcome an inconsistent offensive line and, at times, a nonexistent running game this year.

Despite the problems around him, Herbert has still performed as one of the better quarterbacks in the sport, but upgrades in the backfield and the offensive line would make him very happy.
