Ashton Jeanty returned to his old ways.
It worked wonders for the Las Vegas Raiders' rookie running back.
For the first three weeks of the season, he tried to stand in the backfield in a more traditional, knees-bent stance.
But in Week 4, Jeanty returned to what he did at Boise State, a pretty much standing straight up posture.

Jeanty had, by far, his best game of the season. He ran for 138 yards on 21 carries, caught two passes for 17 yards and scored three touchdowns.
“Sometimes, you’ve just got to prove that something can work and that’s all it is,” Jeanty told reporters this week.
Jeanty also explained why he stands this way.
“Just kind of did it,” Jeanty said of beginning this as a college junior. “I mean, coaches will always tell you to be kind of in more of the bent stance, but I don’t know. I just feel more comfortable that way, more relaxed. And then just reading the defense. I can’t really explain it more differently [than] that, but that’s just what I do."

Jeanty got into the psychology of it all, too.
“I just think it’s different,” Jeanty said. “So, a lot of times when something’s different, it doesn’t always come off to people that it could work that way. But it works, so no need to change it.”
It definitely works for Jeanty. The Raiders certainly won't try to change it again now.
