Las Vegas Raiders tight end Brock Bowers had quite the season-opening showing in Week 1, but he is off to a quiet start in Week 2 against the Los Angeles Chargers.
Bowers finished last week with five catches for 103 yards in what was yet another outstanding performance for the former No. 13 overall pick.
The Georgia product also picked up a knee injury in the aforementioned contest and his status was up in the air during the week, but he was ultimately able to suit up on Monday night.
Here's what's going on with Bowers' slow start.
Is Brock Bowers playing tonight?
UPDATE: Bowers has recorded his first catch on the Raiders' third drive of the game.
His catch went for just five yards.
END OF UPDATE
Bowers is active and in the lineup after being a question mark during the week thanks to not practicing on Thursday and Friday before finally getting in a limited session on Saturday.
Quarterback Geno Smith has yet to target Bowers over two drives, one of which ended after just one play thanks to Smith tossing a pick on his first pass. Another problem is Bowers is facing a very good defense.
We wouldn't expect Bowers' quiet night to last much longer, though.
