There might be waning confidence from outside the building in the Kansas City Chiefs' ability to win the AFC West for a 10th straight season, but inside? Confidence is as high as it's ever been.
With the Chiefs' Week 11 matchup against the AFC West-leading 8-2 Denver Broncos, Kansas City knows that if it has any intention of reeling in Sean Payton's team, a win on Sunday is a must.
A loss would almost signal the end of the Chiefs' division dominance, and given there would still be seven games left, that is a little startling.
But for Patrick Mahomes, he has full faith that if his team plays like they know they're capable of, a 10th division title is there for the taking.
“I think that's always our first goal,” Mahomes said. “It's the first goal we have that coach Reid puts up is win the division. We understand that it's always a challenge and you go up against really good football teams that are scouting you all year long. We've been really good at that over these last seven, eight, nine years, whatever it is.
"We have a lot of division games in front of us. If we can go out there and handle business and do what I think we can do, we can find a way to win this division. Everything is kind of out in front of us. We just have to go out there with the right mindset.”

Chiefs face monster Week 11 clash vs. Denver
There is a lot on the line Sunday for the Chiefs.
The division, bragging rights, a playoff spot, and Mahomes' ridiculous record against the Broncos, which stands at 13-1.
Playing on the road, the Chiefs will be walking into a buzzsaw at Empower Field, and while the Broncos' offense has stuttered for most of the season, the defense has been eating offenses alive.
The Chiefs will fancy their chances against the Denver offense, but can Mahomes and Co., after being easily second-best against the Buffalo Bills last time they played, do enough to put points on the board to win?
Mahomes is confident, but time will tell if that confidence is misplaced.
