The Kansas City Chiefs' offense is in desperate need of a circuit breaker after three so-so weeks of production, and with the Baltimore Ravens up next, Patrick Mahomes needs some reinforcements.
Well, some might be on the way.
Xavier Worthy hasn't been sighted since Week 1 after he dislocated his shoulder, and some thought he might have returned against the New York Giants, but the Chiefs erred on the side of caution and kept their prized asset in bubble wrap.
But with the Ravens on the horizon ahead of perhaps a season-defining game in Week 4, is Worthy trending towards playing?
The Chiefs dropped their latest injury report, and Xavier was listed as a full participant. Whew.

Xavier Worthy set to play vs. Ravens
It looms as a huge boost for the offense to have Worthy back in the fold, and with Tyquan Thornton also being Patrick Mahomes' go-to guy downfield, now we add in Xavier, and suddenly, there is a genuine home-run threat from multiple angles.
Of course, Worthy won't cure all ails on offense, but he will help keep this ship afloat until Rashee Rice gets back after serving his six-game suspension.
We aren't exactly sure how much Worthy will play, snap count-wise, as there is a real chance he might be on a limited number, but just having his speed threat on the field opens up everything for the offense.
The Chiefs haven't been a great watch offensively through three weeks, and in what is already seen as a must-win, they get back one of their top weapons. Will that be enough to slay a Ravens team fresh off giving up 38 points to the Detroit Lions?
Kansas City sure hopes so.
